Built for the moment two guitars meet.

I created redLUX Guitar to be the ultimate creative companion for guitarists — a tool that lets two players sit down together for the first time and immediately start jamming original music. No need to know the same songs. No awkward silence. Just grab your guitars, build a strong progression in any key within seconds, and start soloing. Your music. Your ideas. Instant creativity.

From a jam to a studio

That vision grew into a complete creative studio. A fun progression discovered during a jam can evolve into a real song — add lyrics, organize your originals, shuffle through your growing repertoire, and share them whenever you're ready.

Breaking through plateaus

The app was designed to help you experiment fearlessly. The Improv section lets you combine scale positions, arpeggios, triads, and custom elements so you can practice exactly what you want to master.

Red and black, on purpose

I chose the red and black interface specifically to minimize disruption to your circadian rhythm during late-night sessions — because that's when I play most.

Built to include everyone

Left-handed players, 7- and 8-string guitarists, bass players, and ukulele players are all fully supported — not as an afterthought, but as part of the core design.

Designed for intuition

Every scale and position was carefully designed for maximum intuition. Most scales are built on a pentatonic backbone, with the tonic clearly highlighted by a black dot and glowing red ring. The characteristic "flavor" notes appear as red triangles, while the stable foundational notes remain as subtle grey dots — a system that makes it easy to understand and experiment with new scales and modes.

Distraction-free practice

I added a beautiful full-screen mode for scales with a discreet drone control (root or root + fifth), so you can truly hear the character of each scale without anything else competing for your attention.

Chasing every voicing

For chords, I included every voicing I could find — even the rare and complex ones — so you can always find the perfect sound and keep discovering new harmonic colors.

"redLUX is built as a true standalone app: completely offline after download, ad-free, with no accounts and no data collection. Your songs, progressions, and ideas stay private on your device — even in the middle of nowhere."

I priced it accessibly because my goal was never to extract maximum money from users. I simply wanted to build the tool I always wished existed — one I would use myself every day.

The games in the Learn section were designed to sharpen your ears and deepen your music theory knowledge in small, enjoyable sessions — during your commute, in a waiting room, or anywhere else — instead of mindless scrolling. A tuner, a metronome with real drum grooves instead of just clicks, a record feature, and the ability to play along with your own backing tracks were all included for convenience and creativity.

This is redLUX Guitar — built with passion, for guitarists who love to create.
