Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026.
redLUX Guitar ("the App," "we," "us") is built around one simple rule: your music stays yours, and it stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what little data the App ever touches, why, and what we never do.
1. Summary
- No account creation, sign-in, or user profile of any kind.
- No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers.
- No collection, transmission, or sale of personal data.
- The App functions fully offline after download.
- All songs, progressions, lyrics, recordings, and settings are stored locally on your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, request, or store: your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers for tracking, browsing history, or any other personal information. The App does not include a sign-up flow, so there is no account data to collect in the first place.
3. Microphone Access
The Tuner, Metronome practice flow, and Recording feature request microphone access so the App can listen to your instrument and, if you choose, record a take. Audio captured by the microphone is processed on-device only and is never transmitted anywhere — it is used solely to detect pitch (Tuner) or to create a local recording you control (Recording). You can deny or revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the App continues to work normally.
4. Content You Create
Progressions, lyrics, song organization, favorites, custom chords, and recorded takes are stored locally in the App's data sandbox on your device. If your device uses iCloud device backups, this content may be included in your personal iCloud backup the same way any other app's local data is — that backup is controlled by you through your Apple ID and device settings, not by us.
5. In-App Purchases
If the App offers an optional Pro upgrade, purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. We do not receive, see, or store your payment details, billing address, or card information — that information is handled exclusively by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
6. Diagnostic & Crash Data
We do not embed any third-party crash-reporting or analytics library. If you choose to share diagnostic or crash data with developers through iOS's built-in "Share With App Developers" setting, that data is provided by Apple's operating system, governed by Apple's own privacy terms, and is the only diagnostic information we may ever receive.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all. The App is suitable for general audiences interested in learning and playing guitar.
8. Data Sharing & Sale
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties, because we do not collect any user data to share in the first place.
9. Your Choices
Because nothing leaves your device, there is no remote account or data trail to request, export, or delete. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored content created within it. You can manage microphone permission at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
10. International Users
Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no cross-border transfer of personal information to disclose.
11. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds an optional online feature — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that feature ships.
